WINDOWS KEYSTROKES:
One of my favorites is Ctrl+Z - it means "undo the last command."
NOTE FROM JUDY This issue I'm highlighting an article I wrote, Chain Letter Challenge, and two sites where I'm acting as a host/guide for WZ.com, Basic Business Grammar and Hawaiian Food and Cuisine. While I enjoy grammar, I also enjoy Hawaiian food. I lived in Hawaii for seven years, and my husband was born there. Thank you for your patronage and supportive comments, and I wish you the best for the year 2001.

DID YOU KNOW that many common words may be written either as one solid word or as two separate words, depending on the meaning.
Set - Sit
Set means to place something somewhere. It requires an object to complete its meaning. There are a few others meanings that don't require an object, but they're rarely confused with "sit." Example: I set the mouse on the mouse pad...She set the alarm for 6 AM.
Sit means to be in a position of rest or to be seated. You can't use "sit" with an object. Example: Here we sit, waiting for the decision...I will sit next to you at the meeting.
Someday - Some day
Someday means at an unspecified time. Example: Set up a meeting someday (unspecific) next week.
Some day means a specific time when used as the object of a preposition such as "for." Example: Set up a meeting for some (specific) day next week.
