WINDOWS KEYSTROKES AND TIPS

Text on a Website too small? Go to the Menu Bar and click on View, then Text Size. You'll see a bullet to the left of the current setting. Click to change the size of text.   NOTE: sometimes Web developers specify the size of the text in such a way that you cannot change it. But it's worth a try!

Want to open a page twice? If you're on a site, and you want to review a page in more depth, use Ctrl+N and you'll get that page in a new window. Use this page to investigate other places on the site, returning to the original at your leisure.

DID YOU KNOW?
WHEN TO USE "FORMER" AND "LATTER"
"Former" refers to the first of two persons or things. When more than two are mentioned, use "first." Examples:
1. This item is available in wood and in metal, but I prefer the former.
2. This item is available in wood, metal, and plastic, but I prefer the first.

"Latter" refers to the second of two persons or things. When more than two are mentioned, use "last." Examples:
1. July and August are good vacation months, but the latter is more popular.
2. June, July, and August are good vacation months, but the last is more popular.

Memory trick: "former" and "first" begin with the same letter, and "latter" and "last" begin with the same letter.
