NOTE FROM JUDY
1. In my last issue, I said: Initialisms are generally spoken and read as a series of letters and are often (but not always) preceded by an article, e.g., a NATO member, an HTML document, an MS symptom. (15.9) I should have said: . . . article, e.g., a BBC broadcast, an HTML document, an MS symptom. (15.3 and 15.9) Thanks, J.C.
2. I'm doing my best to get this issue published, and my kind of new kitty cat, Shadow, is doing his best to distract me. Playing with the mouse. The keyboard. Ahhh, I think he's taking a nap! Hope you enjoy this issue as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

DID YOU KNOW - HOW TO ALPHABETIZE NUMBERS FOR INDEXING
When numerals are isolated entries, they are alphabetized as though spelled out. Examples: 1987 (Orwell) is alphabetized as nineteen eighty-four - 10 Downing Street is alphabetized as ten downing street. If many numerals occur in an index, they may be listed together in numerical order before the letter A at the beginning of the index. Chicago Manual of Style (18.63)
